Welcome back to the RhAPP Roundup! Host Audrey Gibson, PA-C, recaps Day 2 of the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers National Conference 2025 in Denver — a day packed with procedural workshops, cross-disciplinary learning, and breakthroughs in rheumatology care. The morning kicked off with hands-on ultrasound and joint injection workshops led by expert faculty, alongside pediatric mental health sessions, fibromyalgia mimics, and a clinician’s guide to sarcoid. The plenary “Year in Review: Pharmacotherapy” provided updates on emerging therapeutics, safety data, and clinical pearls, followed by “Dude, Where’s My B Cell?” exploring advances in lupus nephritis and B-cell targeted therapies. Afternoon breakouts bridged specialties — from Rheum-GI Connection and Skin in the Game (linking dermatology and rheumatology) to osteoporosis, musculoskeletal ultrasound in JIA, and IGG4-related disease. Workshops continued with AI in rheumatology, pediatric ultrasound, and rheumatic disorders and mental health. The day concluded with the accredited symposium “Beyond the Dryness: Unraveling Sjögren’s Disease”, examining new treatments and systemic implications. Day 2 underscored RhAPP’s commitment to hands-on learning, multidisciplinary collaboration, and precision immunotherapy—equipping APPs to deliver whole-patient care across the lifespan.
